Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of leadership, talent management, work-life balance on employee retention for generation Y and Z employees at Special Region of Yogyakarta. The population in this study is the Generation Y and Z workforce in the Special Region of Yogyakarta by taking samples using the Non- Probably sampling method with Purposive sampling technique. The sample for this study was taken from 165 respondents consisting of various genders, ages, occupations, length of work, education and marital status. The data used is primary data obtained through filling out a questionnaire which was then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of this research show that leadership, talent management and work-life balance variables influence employee retention. This result can be proven from the t test, the leadership variable has no effect on employee retention. Meanwhile, the talent management and work-life balance variables have a significant positive effect on employee retention. This is proven by the significance value of the leadership style variable of 0.413 > 0.05. The talent management variable is 0.001 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the work-life balance variable is 0.006 <0.05.
