Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, operating capacity and sales growth on financial distress. As for financial distress, it is proxied using the value of Earning Per Share (EPS). The population of this study uses all agricultural sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2017-2019. This research sample using purposive sampling technique. The data used in this study is secondary data sourced from the company's annual financial statements using regression estimation analysis method. The results of this study indicate that profitability has no significant positive effect on financial distress, liquidity has a significant positive effect on financial distress, leverage has a negative and no significant effect on financial distress, operating capacity has no significant positive effect on financial distress and sales growth has a negative and no significant effect on financial distress. financial distress.
