Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, sales growth and company size on financial distress in manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period. This type of research uses quantitative research. This study uses secondary data obtained from the company's financial statements. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling method. Based on the purposive sampling method, there were 60 samples from 12 food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015-2019 period. The analytical method used is logistic regression analysis using the Eviews 10 program. The results of this study indicate that the variables of profitability, liquidity, leverage and sales growth have no significant effect on financial distress. While the firm size variable has a significant effect on financial distress.
