Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of perceived organizational support and organizational culture on employee engagement through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The used sampling method was a saturated sampling technique which was taking a whole or all members of the population as the sample. Respondents in the study were 48 employees at PT. Kertabumi Harita Nusantara Yogyakarta. The study used descriptive and statistical analysis methods which were done by validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, t-test, coefficient of determination test, path analysis, and Sobel test. The tests in the t-test and path analysis showed that perceived organizational support and organizational culture had a direct effect on job satisfaction but perceived organizational support had no direct effect on employee engagement, organizational culture had a direct effect on employee engagement, job satisfaction had no effect directly on employee engagement, indirectly perceived organizational support through job satisfaction had no significant effect on employee engagement, and indirectly organizational culture through job satisfaction had no significant effect on employee engagement at PT. Kertabumi Harita Nusantara in Yogyakarta.
