Abstract

The mining sector has an important role in the Indonesian economy. The existence of abundant mineral resources in Indonesia makes this sector the largest producer of state revenue. Therefore, this sector is a great opportunity for investors to invest. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability on firm value moderated by Good Corporate Governance. The population of this study is the mining sector companies for the 2016-2019 period which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A sample of 14 companies was selected using purposive sampling. The analytical model used is simple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis using the eviews 9.0 program. The results showed that profitability had a positive and significant effect on firm value. Managerial ownership moderates the relationship between profitability and firm value. Independent commissioners do not moderate the relationship between profitability and firm value.
