Abstract

This study aims to analyse the technological readiness and intention to use GenAI technology by librarians at Gadjah Mada University using the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM) approach. This is a quantitative study, with data collected through questionnaires. The study population consists of all librarians at UGM, and the sample was selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques in this study use the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) using the Smart PLS application. The study's results indicate that technology readiness does not directly influence the intention to use GenAI. However, it positively and significantly influences perceived usefulness and ease of use. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively and significantly influence the intention to use GenAI. Both perceptions fully mediate the relationship between technological readiness and the intention to use GenAI. This finding indicates that librarians' perceptions of GenAI's usefulness and ease of use are key factors in bridging technological readiness and the intention to use the technology.
