Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This research was conducted at the Integrated Investment and Licensing Licensing Service Office of Sleman Regency, which became the population in this study were 50 civil servants. Samples were taken by non-probability sampling method with census techniques, x the type of research used by survey methods and using a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire as an instrument. Based on the results of research that has been done. The results of the path analysis showed that: work motivation was 0.861 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating that it was significantly less than 0.05. This shows that work motivation affects employee satisfaction. Job satisfaction of 0.427 with a significance value of 0.002 <0.05 indicates that significantly less than 0.05. This shows that job satisfaction affects employee performance. Work Motivation is 0.231 with a significance value of 0.108> 0.05 which indicates that the significance is greater than 0.05. This shows that work motivation does not affect employee performance. The result of the sobel test shows that the coefficient value of 0.367647 with a significance value of 0.002<0.05 indicates that the significance is greater than 0.05. This shows that motivation influences employee performance through job satisfaction. F test results indicate that the model is feasible. While the value of the coefficient of determination of the results of this study is 0.551 or 55.1%, meaning that 55.1% of the variables of work motivation and job satisfaction are able to explain the effect of 55.1% on employee performance variables. While the remaining 44.9% is explained by other variables not included in this study.
